Ola S1 Lite Launch On 22nd Oct – Smaller Battery, Key Features

Ola Electric is all set to launch a new variant of the S1 electric scooter on 22nd October, 2022. While its official name and details are yet to be revealed, the model is likely to be introduced as Ola S1 Lite. However, the company has confirmed that the new e-scooter will be priced under Rs 80,000. It will essentially be the most affordable variant of the Ola electric scooter.  The company says that the Ola S1 Lite will not miss out on features despite being an affordable offering.

Reports suggest that the new Ola S1 Pro will come with the smaller capacity lithium-ion battery. At present, the Ola S1 and S1 Pro are available with the 2.98kWh and 3.97kWh battery packs offering a range of 121km and 181km respectively. The e-scooter has a ‘Hyperdrive motor’ that returns a claimed power of 8.5kW. Compared to the S1 that has smaller battery, the S1 Pro weighs 4kgs heavier. While the former can be juiced up in 5 hours, the latter one takes 6 hours 30 minutes to get fully charged.
