Ola Electric will finally launch its much-awaited electric scooter, called the Ola S1 in the Indian market tomorrow, 15th August 2021. Interested buyers can book the e-scooter online at a token amount of Rs 499, which is fully refundable on cancellation.
Ola electric has already announced that the new Ola S1 e-scooter will be delivered directly to customers doorstep. It is the world’s most booked scooter in a single day, as the Ola S1 recorded a staggering 1 lakh pre-bookings in just 24 hours.
OLA S1 Expected Price
The new electric scooter is based on the Etergo Appscooter, which is on sale in select international markets. The scooter will share most of the features and design details with the Appscooter. The new scooter is expected to be priced around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.2 lakh, which will make it a rival to the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X and the upcoming Simple One.
In terms of proportions, the new Ola S1 is 1,860mm long, 700mm wide and 1,155mm tall. It has a saddle height of 800mm, while the wheelbase stands at 1,345mm. The electric scooter weighs just 74 kilos. The scooter will offer the segment largest boot space. The teaser reveals that the under-seat storage space is good enough to accommodate two large helmets.
The OLA S1 is a compact electric scooter, which features modern features. It will get twin-beam LED headlight with an LED DRL strip, alloy wheels. a Lithium-ion battery, a digital instrument console, cloud connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity and others. The e-scooter will be offered in 10 colour options – Pastel Red, Pastel Yellow, Pastel Blue, Matte Black, Matte Blue, Matte Grey, Metallic Pink, Metallic Silver and Metallic
The OLa S1 electric scooter is likely to feature 3.6kWh battery pack and a 6KW electric motor. It is claimed to achieve 0 to 45kmph acceleration in just 4.5 seconds. The e-scooter is likely to offer a top speed of around 100-110kmph. It is expected to retun a range of around 150kms on a single charge.
