Ola Electric Scooter – 10 Colours, Segment’s Best Range, Home Delivery

Ola Group is gearing up to launch its first electric scooter in coming weeks. Its official bookings have already been commenced online at a token sum of Rs 499. In fact, the Ola electric scooter garnered over 1 lakh pre-bookings in just 24 hours. What’s interesting here is there will be no Ola outlets for its deliveries. The two-wheeler maker will deliver the electric scooter at doorsteps of buyers. In order to ensure on-time delivery, the company has setup logistics department across the nation.

The Ola team will help customers right from booking to loan application and delivery. If reports are to be believed, the service and spare part replacement might be done via door-step services. Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Group Chairman and CEO, recently confirmed that the Ola electric scooter will be available in 10 paint schemes. The colour palette includes 3 Pastel (Red, Blue and Yellow), 3 Metallic (Pink, Gloss and Silver) and 3 Matte (Black, Grey and Blue) shades.

The upcoming Ola electric scooter is likely to be named Ola Series S, S1 and S1 Pro as these nameplates were recently trademarked by the company. The Series S could be a special edition and the S1 and S1 Pro might be used for the base and top-end variants of the scooter. The electric scooter will be manufactured at Ola’s new production facility in Tamil Nadu. Spread over 500 acres, the plant will initially produce 20 lakh units on annual basis.
