Ola S1 Air Electric Scooter – Price, Range, Specs, Features

Ola Electric has introduced a new entry-level electric scooter in the country. Called the Ola S1 Air, the e-scooter comes at an introductory price of Rs 79,999 that’s valid till 24th October. After Diwali, it will cost Rs 84,999. It’s essentially the more affordable variant of the S1 and S1 Pro. The company has confirmed that deliveries of the new electric scooter will start in the first quarter of 2023.

Here’re key details of the newly-launched Ola S1 Air electric scooter.

Talking about powertrain, the scooter has a smaller 2.5kWh battery pack than its premium siblings. The battery pack is connected to a hub-mounted electric motor delivering a maximum power of 4.5kW.

The company claims that the entry-level variant offers a range of 101km in Eco mode and a top speed of 90kmph. Its battery pack can be fully charged in 4 hours 30 minutes by using a home charger.

The e-scooter has three riding modes, namely, Eco, Normal and Sports.

Compared to the Ola S1 and S1 Pro, the new S1 Air is lighter weighing at 99kg. The electric scooter uses the conventional telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers for performing suspension duties. It has front and rear drum brakes.

The Ola S1 Air provides a storage space of 34-litres, which is slightly lesser than its more expensive siblings.

What further differentiate it from the S1 and S1 Pro is it’s the more basic single-piece tubular grab handle and redesigned seat. Unlike its premium siblings that have curved floorboard, the new S1 Air comes with a flat floorboard making it more practical.

On the feature front, the new Ola electric scooter offers a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display with reversing functionality. It gets the MoveOS 3.0 software that offers features such as different profiles, moods, hill hold functionality and proximity alert.
