The popular Nissan Magnite sub-4 meter SUV has received 4-star GNCAP safety rating. It scored 4 stars for adult protection and two stars for child occupant protection. The tested model was equipped with basic safety features including dual front airbags and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The platform of the Magnite was found stable during the test round. The SUV offers marginal protection to the driver’s chest.

The Magnite scored 11.85 points out of a possible 17 in adult protection. It received only 24.88 points out of a possible 49 in child protection. GNCAP said that the model on sale in our market comes with a lap-belt in the rear centre seat instead of three point belts, without ISOFIX anchorages for the Child Restraint Systems (CRS). There is no Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and no side head impact protection as standard.

It scored 12.34 points out of 17. In the child occupant protection test, the Kiger scored slightly lower than the Magnite – 21.05 points out of 49.
