TVS Motor Company has released another teaser for its upcoming new electric scooter, which is set to debut on August 23, 2023, in Dubai. The two-wheeler manufacturer has not yet disclosed the product’s name and details. However, the latest teaser showcases three square vertically-stacked lights that resemble the Creon electric scooter concept, first unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo. Prior to this teaser, the company sent out an invitation for the new product launch, stating, “electric-flying launch that will defy the status quo in mobility.”
Speaking about the TVS Creon e-scooter, the concept boasts a 12kWh electric motor and three lithium-ion batteries. While the electric motor is placed in a compact space, the batteries have been designed to provide a high charge per volume. It was claimed to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.1 seconds and offer a range of 80 km. The electric scooter features a fast-charging option that enables it to reach 80 percent charge in just 60 minutes.
The Creon concept was equipped with a range of technology co-developed with Intel. It includes a TFT screen displaying information such as battery health status, battery charge, speedometer, trip meter, tachometer, and odometer. The scooter is app-enabled with Cloud connectivity, regenerative braking, three riding modes, GPS, park assist, safety/anti-theft features, and geofencing. Furthermore, the electric scooter provides a smartphone charger, front and rear disc brakes, and a single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The concept offers underseat storage space large enough to accommodate a full-face helmet. The TVS Creon is built on an aluminum perimeter frame and features diamond-cut alloy wheels with TVS Remora tires. Even if the Creon is approaching its launch, the final production version is likely to remain true to its concept. A few cosmetic changes and mechanical upgrades are expected to be implemented.
