New TVS 125cc Scooter With LED DRLs Teased; Here’s What To Expect

TVS Motor Company will introduce an all-new 125cc scooter on October 7, 2021. It is reportedly to be a more powerful version of the Jupiter, and could be called the Jupiter 125. Few reports suggest that it could be a maxi-scooter, which will be positioned against the Suzuki Burgman 125. In the 125cc space, the new scooter will rival the Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125 and Yamaha Fascino.

TVS Motor Company has released a new teaser video, which reveals the front headlamp set-up of the scooter. It shows the front-apron mounted headlamp with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). It is reported that the new TVS 125cc scooter could offer segment-largest underseat storage space, which could accommodate 2 half helmets.

The new TVS 125cc scooter is likely to get new mirrors, side panels and grab rails and all-new LED tail-lights. The scooter could source some of the design bits and features from the existing TVS Jupiter 125. It is expected to share some features from the newly launched Raider 125 as well. The scooter could offer an all-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, USB charger, LED headlamp, external fuel filler & LED tail-lamp.

The new TVS Jupiter 125 is likely to be powered by the same 124.8cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection system that powers the NTorq. This motor offers two states of tunes – 9.4PS with 10.5Nm (NTorq Standard model) and 10.2PS with 10.8Nm (NTorq Race XP Edition). The Raider’s 125cc engine offers 11.2bhp and 11.2Nm of torque.

Similar to Raider, the new scooter could offer all-LED lighting system – LED headlights, LED tail-lights, LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) and LED turn indicators. It could also get LCD display with digital document storage and voice assist function. The scooter could also get a stop-start system, which company calls the IntelliGo.
