Tata Motors is effectively kindling excitement among potential buyers by consistently unveiling enticing teasers for the new Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs. The moment of anticipation is drawing near, with both models’ booking windows set to open on October 6th, 2023, followed shortly by the eagerly awaited price reveal.

This time around, Tata Motors has given us a glimpse of the interior, affirming the presence of an expansive touchscreen infotainment system and a brand-new digital instrument cluster. The higher-tier variants may boast a 12.3-inch screen, while the lower versions are likely to feature a 10.25-inch display.

Not content with these innovations, the SUVs are also equipped with a new steering wheel design, drawing inspiration from the Currve concept. In the realm of aesthetics, the new Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs are further enhanced by the inclusion of touch-based HVAC controls, a design element previously seen in the updated Nexon. A redesigned central AC vent and center console area, a new rotary drive selector, and leatherette padding featuring striking contrast double stitching all contribute to their rejuvenated and appealing appearance.

In terms of features, these SUVs are poised to pamper their occupants with ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and advanced ADAS technology, ensuring safety and technologically advanced driving experience.

Exterior enhancements are also in the offing, with the new Tata Harrier and Safari showcasing a dual-tone bumper adorned with silver inserts, a refreshed front grille, sleeker headlamps and taillamps, and a set of captivating new alloy wheels. Fortunately, their dimensions remain unchanged, preserving their distinctive size and proportions.

When it comes to powertrains, Tata is remaining faithful to its current offerings. The new Harrier and Safari will continue to be powered by the reliable 2.0L diesel engine, generating a robust 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options remain consistent, with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

However, there’s an intriguing rumor circulating that Tata may introduce its newly developed 1.5L turbo petrol engine to the updated Harrier and Safari. This gasoline powerplant, showcased at this year’s Auto Expo, boasts an impressive output of 170bhp and 280Nm, potentially adding an exciting new dimension to the SUVs’ powertrain lineup.
