New Tata Harrier Facelift With Huge Touchscreen – More Details

Tata Motors is getting aggressive with its product strategy for the home market. The company is gearing up for the launch of the significantly updated versions of the Nexon and Nexon EV on September 14, 2023. Adding to it, Tata Motors is ready to introduce the Punch EV and Curvv SUV Coupe. Tata is also developing the updated versions of the Harrier & the Safari, which are likely to arrive before the end of this financial year. The new Tata Harrier facelift has been spotted testing multiple times, and the latest spy images reveal some interesting details.

The latest spy images of the new Tata Harrier facelift give us a glimpse of its new touchscreen infotainment system. The spotted model has a huge touchscreen infotainment system, as it looks significantly bigger than the current 10.25-inch display. The screen seems identical to the one offered on the Range Rover Sport, which has a 13.1-inch touchscreen unit.

Tata has recently added the 10.25-inch touchscreen unit in the Harrier & Safari; however, this unit is also available on the new Nexon SUV. It is expected that the flagship SUVs will have a bigger touch unit. The Harrier’s direct rival, the MG Hector comes fitted with a larger 14-inch touchscreen display. The Tata’s new infotainment system will be compatible with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, connected car tech and other model tech.                      

The new Tata Harrier will share styling cues from the Harrier EV concept that debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo. The SUV is expected to get a new front grille, new headlights and tail-lights, new bumpers, new alloy wheels and sequential turn indicators.

Similar to the new Nexon, the new Harrier will have a completely revised cabin with all-new dashboard layout and a bigger instrument console. It is expected to receive a bigger 10-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof. a 360 degree camera, six airbags and others. The SUV will also receive an upgraded ADAS tech with adaptive cruise control feature. 

The 2023 Tata Harrier will continue to feature the 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmissions. The SUV is also expected to receive the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 170bhp and 280Nm of torque. Both manual and DCT gearbox options are likely on offer.
