Skoda Kushaq, the mid-size SUV from the German automaker, has received a new Ambition Classic variant in the country. The new variant sits above the entry-level Active trim and below the Ambition trim. The new Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic variant has been offered with 1.0L TSI petrol engine priced at Rs 12.69 lakh (for the manual version) and Rs 14.09 lakh (for the automatic model). Buyers can get the new Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic variant in four dual-tone colours – Brilliant Silver with black roof, Candy White with black roof, Tornado Red with black roof and Honey Orange with black roof. The Carbon Steel paint scheme comes with white wrapping. You will notice lots of chrome treatment on the front bumper intake, window and trunk line and lower doors.
Unlike the Ambition variant that has fabric stitching, the new Ambition Classic trim offers black suede seats. On the feature front, it offers a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Though, it misses out on the connected car tech and automatic AC. As mentioned above, the new Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic variant is available with 1.0L, 3-cylinder TSI gasoline motor marking power worth 115bhp and 178Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The SUV model lineup also comes with a 1.5L, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine that’s good enough for 150bhp and 250Nm. The motor is available with the 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG gearbox options.
The 1.5 TSI unit has been benefited with cylinder deactivation technology enhancing its fuel efficiency. The carmaker says its 1.0L TSI version can accelerate 0 to 100kmph in 10.6 seconds with manual and 11.7 seconds with automatic transmission. The bigger capacity motor is capable to do 100kmph in 8.6 seconds.
