Ola Electric had announced to introduce a brand new electric vehicle on August 15, 2022. It was speculated that the company could showcase its future electric car; however, the company has now confirmed that it will be an electric scooter. In fact, Ola Electric has teased a new electric scooter on its social media platforms.
Ola hasn’t revealed any details about the new electric scooter. In the teaser, Ola says that the new electric scooter is claimed to be the “greenest EV” the company has ever made.
It is expected that Ola could introduce a new electric scooter that will be positioned below the S1 Pro. This electric scooter could come with a less powerful electric motor and a smaller battery pack. Moreover, Ola could remove some of the features to achieve aggressive pricing.
The Ola S1 Pro comes equipped with a 3.97 kWh battery pack that is claimed to offer a maximum range of 181km. The battery powers an electric motor that produces 11bhp and 58Nm of torque. It is claimed to achieve 0-60kmph in 5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 115kmph.
The Ola S1 Pro electric scooter has a single-sided suspension and disc brakes. It runs on 110/70-R12 MRF front and rear tyres. In terms of features, it offers a large TFT display, a reserve mode, proximity unlock, cruise control, hill hold function and voice assistant functions.
