MG Motor is all set to launch the new Hector facelift in the Indian market in the next couple of months. Not just Hector facelift, the company will also introduce the new MG Hector Plus facelift in the country. In fact, the new Hector has already been leaked on the Internet. Moreover, the new MG Hector 6-seater has also been spotted in India.
Similar to the new Hector facelift, the new MG Hector 6-seater could receive heavily revised front styling. It will have a re-styled front grille and new split headlamp setup with sleek LED daytime running lights on top and main headlamp unit positioned below on the bumper. The new model is expected to receive newly styled alloy wheels. The rear profile of the SUV is likely to remain largely identical to the outgoing model.
The new MG Hector will come with all-new dashboard, featuring all-new central console, new steering wheel and new dashboard trims. The console will be dominated by an all-new 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will be benefited with the Next-Gen i-Smart technology and wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity. The SUV will come with a dual-tone interior theme with dual-layer dashboard, piano black and chrome treatment and D-shaped AC vents.
The new SUV is also likely to feature Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with tech like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, rear driver assist, lane keep assist, speed assist system, blind spot detection and intelligent headlamp control.
The SUV will have a 3-spoke steering wheel and a fully digital 7-inch configurable instrument console. The new MG Hector 6-seater will have brown upholstery with separate captain seats in the second row. It will also receive a 7-seater variant with bench-type seat in the second-row.
The new MG Hector range is likely to be offered with existing engine options including a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with a mild hybrid tech. Transmission duty will be done by a 6-speed manual gearbox (standard) and a CVT automatic unit (available only on the petrol hybrid variants).
