New Mahindra XUV300 W2, TurboSport W4 Variants – Explained

Mahindra has expanded its XUV300 subcompact SUV lineup by introducing two new variants: the W2 and TurboSport W4. The W2 variant comes with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine that generates 110bhp and 200Nm of torque, while the TurboSport W4 is powered by the 1.2L T-GDi turbo gasoline motor producing 131bhp and 230Nm. Both variants are available with a manual gearbox only. The new W2 petrol manual variant is priced at Rs 7.99 lakh, and the TurboSport W4 costs Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

The features of the new XUV300 W2 variant have not been fully disclosed yet, as it’s positioned as the base variant. However, it’s expected to have a reduced feature set compared to higher variants. The standard features of the XUV300 include idle start/stop, day/night inside mirror, steering-feel adjustment, tyre position indicator, manual central locking, rear disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system, body-colored bumpers/mirrors and door handles, LED taillamps, 16-inch steel wheels, power mirrors, and all power windows.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift

The new Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport W4 variant comes equipped with a sunroof, which was previously offered only from the W6 variant onwards. This addition means the W4 trim can now be selected with three different engine options. Some of the features offered in this variant include impact-sensing auto door unlock, Isofix child mount anchorage, speed-sensing auto door lock, TPMS, 12V front power outlet, steering modes, electric controls for manual AC, height-adjustable front seatbelts, driver-side window 1-touch down, fabric upholstery, dual-tone interior, silver and black grille, black skid plates, side sill & wheel arch cladding, and more.

Additionally, Mahindra is planning to release an updated version of the XUV300 in early 2024. This updated version is expected to feature a panoramic sunroof (a segment-first), a digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a newly-designed dashboard, and an updated infotainment unit.
