Bookings for the new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee have been officially commenced in India. Prices of the SUV are slated to announce on coming 11th November and deliveries are likely to start by the end of the month. It will be the brand’s fourth model to be assembled at the company’s Ranjangaon facility in Pune. The new Grand Cherokee will derive some of its design elements from the Wagoneer and Meridian SUVs. A few changes and feature upgrades will also be made inside the cabin.
This time around, the SUV will be offered with petrol engine only. The new Grand Cherokee will use the 2.0L turbo gasoline motor with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It will come with the Quadra-Trac I 4X4 system and selectable terrain modes. Globally, the American SUV maker retails it in two versions – 5-seater and three-row Grand Cherokee L. The former is around 294mm shorter than latter. In India, the company will introduce the SUV’s 5-seater version.
The new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee will have a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. There will be a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the front passenger as well. It will continue to come with the ADAS (advanced driving assistance system) that offers features such as emergency braking for pedestrians, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring with rear cross path detection. On the exterior, the new Grand Cherokee features a revised 7-slot grille, slim headlamps with LED DRLs, a floating roof effect at the D-pillar and updated rear pillars.
Recently, Jeep unveiled its new Avenger SUV for the European market. The SUV derives its power from a 1.2L turbo petrol engine that’s good for 100bhp. The model underpins the modular CMP platform that’s used in the Citroen C3 hatchback. The Jeep Avenger will also be offered with petrol/diesel engine options and Jeep’s Selec-Terrain off-road modes – Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow and Mud.
