New Hyundai SUVs To Challenge Fortuner & XUV700

Hyundai Motor India recently introduced the fourth-generation Tucson within the price range of Rs 27.7 lakh – Rs 34.39 lakh (all, ex-showroom). With an aim to maintain its lead over Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra, the South Korean carmaker is planning to launch multiple new SUVs including imported and locally manufactured electrics. Hyundai will target the entry luxury SUV market that’s currently crowded with cars like Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, Mahindra XUV700. It will also bring in new models to challenge the Jeep Compass and the higher variants of the Tata Harrier.

Speaking to an online media publication, Tarun Garg, Director Sales & Marketing at Hyundai India, said that the company will launch multiple new SUVs across different price range. The automaker will also strengthen its off-road SUV model lineup in coming years. More details on the upcoming new Hyundai SUVs are likely to be revealed in near future.

This year, Hyundai India will roll out the Venue N-Line, updated Creta and Ioniq 5 electric crossover. Talking about the 2022 Hyundai Creta, the SUV is expected to hit roads during 2022 festive season. One of the major upgrades might come in the form of the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) offering features such as lane assist, autonomous emergency braking system and more. The Creta facelift will continue to come with the existing engine-gearbox combinations.

The Hyundai Venue N-Line will be sportier version of the subcompact SUV with some cosmetic enhancements. The model will have red accents on the front bumper, roof rails, wheel arches and at the rear. There will be ‘N-Line’ badging on the front grille and fender. It will have differently designed alloy wheels. The Venue N-Line is likely to be offered with the 118bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine and 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox options.
