New Hyundai i20 Facelift Interior, Exterior Changes Explained

The new 2024 Hyundai i20 facelift has finally made its global debut via official images. The carmaker says that the hatchback’s updated model comes with “a refreshed, stylish design” and offers “best-in-class” connectivity features. As of now, there is no official word in its India launch timeline. Though, the company has confirmed that the new i20 will first go on sale in the European markets. Production of the vehicle will start in the third quarter of 2023 at Hyundai’s Izmit, Turky facility.

Slightly Improved Styling

Minor changes have been made to its exterior and interior. The facelifted version carries slightly revised front and rear bumpers, grille with two large arrow-shaped inlets on either sides and more pronounced and wider chin with contrast black finish on the lower section. The headlamp units have also been tweaked and have slightly repositioned LED DRLs.

The new Hyundai i20 facelift features a new 2D logo. It gets newly-designed alloy wheels with 16-inch tyres (in the lower variants) and 17-inch tyres (in the higher trims). New Colour Options

The carmaker has introduced three new colours including Lumen Grey Pearl, Lucid Lime Metallic and Meta Blue Pearl. Globally, the hatchback is also available in Phantom Black Pearl, Atlas White, Dragon Red Pearl, Aurora Grey Pearl and Mangrove Green Pearl shades. There are optional black dual-tone roof option as well.

ADAS & More

The biggest talking point is the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite offering features such as forward collision warning, lane following assistance. The new 2024 Hyundai i20 facelift also offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, wireless device charger, BlueLink telematics, Bose premium sound system, LED technology (instead of the lightbulbs), multicoloured ambient lights, etc.  

Same Engine-Gearbox Combos

In European market, the new Hyundai i20 facelift will be offered with the existing 1.0L turbo petrol engine benefited with 48V mild hybrid technology. Transmission choices will include the same 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic units.
