The much-awaited new-gen Honda Vezel (New Honda HR-V) will make its global debut on February 18, 2021. The SUV is scheduled to be released in Japan on April 22, while deliveries will begin from March 2021. Ahead of the global debut, the patent images of the new Honda Vezel have been leaked on the Internet.

Design Highlights

The leaked images reveal that the new Honda Vezel will come with different types of front grille patterns. This suggests that Honda will introduce different grilles for different variants. Similar to the spy images from Japan and Europe, the new Honda HR-V aka Vezel’s front grille has horizontal slats or honeycomb pattern. The SUV gets LED lighting system including LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED tail-lamps. This is very similar to the new Honda Civic Prototype.

The patent images also suggest that the new Honda HR-V will come with all-new rear design. The SUV has sporty looks with a long front nose and coupe SUV-like rear profile. It comes with floating roofline, rear hatch glass and C-pillar, which gives it a coupe-SUV look.

The new Honda HR-V is reportedly to measure 4,450mm in length, 1,780mm in width and 1,600mm in height. The current model is 4,330mm long, 1,770mm wide and 1,605mm height and has a wheelbase of 2,610mm. The new model is around 120mm longer and 10mm wider, while the total height is reduced by 5mm. The wheelbase has been increased by 20mm to 2,630mm, which should help Honda engineers to create more space inside the cabin.
