New Hero Xtreme 200S 4V – More Power, New Features & Colours

Hero MotoCorp has introduced an updated version of its premium motorcycle, the Xtreme 200S 4V, in the Indian market. The new model comes with a more powerful engine, additional features, and fresh color options, resulting in a price increase of Rs 5,890. The new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V is now available at a price of Rs 1,41,250 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This updated variant directly competes with the Bajaj Pulsar RS200, while the 2-valve version of the bike rivals the Bajaj Pulsar 220F and Suzuki Gixxer SF.

Let’s take a look at the updates made to the bike. The highlight of the new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V is its 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, which is borrowed from the Hero XPulse. This engine incorporates 4-valve technology, resulting in increased power, torque, and improved high-speed performance with reduced vibrations. It delivers a claimed power output of 19.1PS at 8,000rpm and peak torque of 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm, making it 6% more powerful and 5% torquier than its predecessor. The transmission unit has also been optimized with improved gear ratios for better acceleration.

New Hero Xtreme 200S 4V Features

The updated Xtreme 200S 4V features new body graphics and color schemes, including Matt Axis Grey Metallic, Panther Black Metallic, and Moon Yellow. The bike has a sportier appearance, thanks to revised ergonomics and new raised clip-on handlebars. However, it retains most of its design elements such as an aggressive fairing, muscular fuel tank, a bulbous headlamp, alloy wheels, and a single-piece seat. The bike also boasts twin LED headlamps with LED DRLs and familiar LED taillamps.

New Hero Xtreme 200S 4V Specs

While the conventional telescopic fork at the front and monoshock suspension setup at the rear remain unchanged, the new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V comes with new petal disc brakes equipped with single-channel ABS for enhanced safety. In terms of features, the updated model offers a full digital LCD cluster, turn-by-turn navigation, and smartphone connectivity, adding convenience and modern technology to the riding experience.
