New-Gen Renault Duster Key Details Out – More Features, Hybrid

The new-gen Dacia Duster mid-sized SUV is scheduled to be revealed on 29th of November, 2023. If reports are to be believed, the new Duster will be launched in the UK in the summer of 2024. The SUV will be sold under the Renault nameplate where Dacia is not present. The new-gen Renault Duster will be one of the most affordable and capable SUVs in the Indian market.

Ahead of the official reveal, key details of the new-gen Renault Duster are revealed on the Internet. The third-gen Duster will be based on the new CMF-B platform, which also underpins the Renault Captur and Nissan Juke. Thanks to the new modular platform, the new Dacia Duster will grow in size and will measure around 4.4 meters in length. The SUV will offer more refined and spacious interior.

The new-gen Renault Duster will come with hybrid engines with the brand’s E-Tech technology. The SUV could receive a conventional hybrid or a plug-in hybrid option, along with a light hybrid and non-electrified versions. The hybrid engines will offer higher fuel efficiency and improved emissions.

The new Duster will have a more box-shaped design, featuring a flatter front end and longer overhangs. The SUV comes with a new slatted front grille, LED headlights, a sleeker fascia, thick cladding all around the body and functional roof bars. The styling will be inspired by the Bigster concept, which will also enter the production in 2025. It will be a 7-seater SUV and will come as an affordable alternative to premium SUVs including the Skoda Kodiaq.

The report claims that the new-gen Renault Duster will come with a modular roof storage system that can accommodate a tent for overnight stays. The cabin will receive significant changes and will come with improved fit & finish along with more premium features. It will also have a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12-inch portrait-oriented central touchscreen with smartphone connectivity. The touchscreen unit will run on Dacia’s Google-based OpenR Link infotainment system.

It is reportedly to have a unique sound signature created by electro-pop pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre, who composed four different sounds for the car – one for starting up, one for driving, one for reversing and one for parking.
