In recent years, Mahindra & Mahindra has undergone a remarkable revival of its iconic SUV lineup, including the Scorpio, Thar, and XUV. These revamped versions have proven to be triumphant for the homegrown automaker, establishing dominance in both the off-road and premium SUV segments. The latest addition to this formidable lineup is set to be the all-new Mahindra Bolero, making it one of the most anticipated revelations for enthusiasts this year. The prospective arrival of the new Mahindra Bolero is slated for the years 2026 or 2027.

Mahindra has been diligently working on all-new architecture named U171, designed to underpin the brand’s future SUVs and pickup trucks, including the upcoming generation of the Bolero. The company is expected to make a substantial investment of Rs 2,000 crore in the development of this new platform over the coming decade.

Reports suggest that the Mahindra U171 platform will serve as the foundation for at least three SUV models, contributing to an annual volume of approximately 1.5 lakh units. The introduction of the U171-based pickup range is projected to double this volume. The maiden production model leveraging this new architecture is anticipated to hit the roads between 2026 and 2027.
