New-Gen Hyundai Kona Coming Next Year – Key Details We Know So Far

In the UK market, the Hyundai Kona crossover is ready to receive a generation change sometime next year. In fact, the company has already started testing the new model. The latest spy images reveal that the 2023 Hyundai Kona will witness comprehensive changes in terms of design and features.

While the spotted test mule was heavily camouflaged, one can notice its bigger dimensions. The split LED headlamps seem to be carried forward from the existing model, but the lower lamps placed vertically similar to the Tucson and Palisade.

The lower taillamp assemblies for the reverse lamps and indicators might also be positioned vertically instead of the horizontal layout. Compared to the first generation, the new one will get a more squared-off, angular steering wheel and slightly repositioned digital instrument cluster. There could be a bunch of new goodies along with the existing feature setup.

Globally, the 2023 Hyundai Kona will be offered with petrol and electric powertrain options. Similar to the existing Kona EV, the new model could be offered with batteries ranging from 39.2kWh to 64kWh delivering ranges between 305km to 484km. Rumour has it that the automaker might also introduce the N Line version of the Kona crossover.
