While we have already witness some important product launches (including new-gen Baleno, Slavia and more), several new car launches have been planned for the next 4-5 months. The second-generation Maruti Brezza and Mahindra Scorpio are surely among the much-awaited car launches of this year. Both models, which are currently in their final testing phase, are ready to hit roads. Here’re key details we know so far.
2022 Maruti Brezza
The all-new Brezza subcompact SUV will see a release in April 2022. With the generation change, the model will take a big leap in terms of design, features and engine mechanism. While its official details are yet to be revealed, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza is reported to come with the stronger hybrid technology with the same 1.5L K15B petrol and a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. Both updates will improve its mileage and performance.
This time around, the SUV might be offered with a 360 degree parking camera, a factory-fitted sunroof, wireless charging system, new instrument console, automatic AC unit and paddle shifters. The touchscreen infotainment unit will be bigger than before and come with wireless smartphone connectivity. The automaker might also improve its built quality and equip it with 6 airbags and electronic stability program (EPS).
2022 Mahindra Scorpio
Recently, a picture of the production-ready 2022 Mahindra Scorpio has been leaked on the web. It seems that the company is all set to begin its marketing activities. The model is likely to witness a market launch in the next 2-3 months. Sharing its underpinning with the new Thar, the next-gen Scorpio will be offered with the new 2.0L petrol and 2.2L diesel engines and manual and automatic gearbox options.
The higher trims might be exclusively offered with the 4WD system. Material quality, fit and finish will also be classed up. The new Scorpio will come with 6 and 7-seats configuration and forward facing seats for all rows. It’s likely to be equipped with features such as a 360 degree camera, a Head-Up Display (HUD), a digital analogue instrument cluster, bigger infotainment unit and factory-fitted sunroof.
