Citroen C3, the first mass-market offering from the French automaker, is currently available in two variants – Live and Feel. While the former costs Rs 6.16 lakh, the latter is priced at Rs 7.38 lakh (1.2L NA) and Rs 8.25 lakh (1.2L turbo petrol). According to a fresh media report, the carmaker will soon expand the hatchback model lineup with a new ‘Shine’ variant. The new variant will be positioned top-of-the-line and its expected to cost around Rs 1 lakh premium over the Feel trim.
The new C3 Shine variant will some extra goodies on offer such as an electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parking camera, button starts/stop, defogger and rear wiper and washer. It might also come with the leather wrapped steering wheel, three-point seatbelts for all five occupants and alloy wheels.
Besides aforementioned features, the Shine trim will have a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a four-speaker sound system, manual AC unit, front and rear USB charging ports, seatbelt reminders and rear parking sensors. Under the hood, the new Citroen C3 Shine variant will feature the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated and 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engines. The naturally aspirated gasoline unit makes power worth 82bhp and 115Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The turbo-petrol motor pushes out a maximum power of 110bhp and 190Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The carmaker offers 10 exterior colour options with the C3 hatchback including Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey, Steel Grey, Steel Grey with Zesty Orange, Polar White with Platinum Grey, Steel Gray with Platinum Grey, Zesty Orange with Platinum Grey, Platinum Gray with Zesty Orange and Polar White with Zesty Orange. The Citroen C3 takes on multiple cars right from Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis to Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
