The new Kia Seltos facelift was first unveiled overseas in June 2022, followed by its public debut at the Busan Motor Show in Korea. The SUV’s updated model will also make its way to India by mid 2023. Prior to its market arrival, the carmaker might put up the new model on display at the Delhi Auto Expo in January. The new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift comes with slightly improved design and upgraded interior. Its engine setup, however, is likely to remain unchanged.
Design changes of the new Seltos are inspired by the new Sportage and Telluride SUVs, which are on sale in global markets. The SUV features newly-designed headlamps with angular signatures as we have seen in the Carens. While the front bumper has been slightly tweaked, the “ice cube” foglamps are carried forward from the current model. The pronounced air dam is surrounded by a faux aluminum skid plate, which are offered on the GT-Line variant.
Save for the newly-designed alloy wheels, the side profile appears similar to the pre-facelift version. The new Seltos comes with a new set of taillamps, which are connected now connected via a red bar. The units, which have been extended downwards, come with an L-shaped LED lights. The rear bumper looks new and has more prominent faux skid plate.
In terms of features, the new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will offer a new infotainment system with the smartphone connectivity, new upholstery and a redesigned control panel for the AC unit. The higher variants of the updated SUV are likely to get a 360 degree camera and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).
As mentioned above, no changes are expected to be made under the hood. The new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will continue to come with the 1.5L diesel, 1.4L turbo petrol and 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine options.
