Hyundai Verna, the mid-size sedan from the South Korean automaker, is ready to enter into its new generation sometime next year. The carmaker has already started testing its new model that’s caught on camera multiple times. The spy images reveal that the new 2023 Hyundai Verna will witness significant design changes, especially at the front end. It will carry Hyundai’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language and share some of its styling bits with the new-gen Elantra.
The sedan will feature a newly-designed parametric-jewel pattern grille with turn-signal integration, and revised front bumper. The split LED headlamp setup will also new. The fastback-like styling with a tapered roof, new alloy wheels and a shark fin antenna will enhance its side profile. The rear section will be updated with the high-tech “H-Tail Lamp” making the brand’s flying logo and a wing-type lower bumper.
The new 2023 Hyundai Verna will be bigger than the current generation that measures 4440mm in length, 1729mm in width and 1475mm in height. With bigger dimensions, the sedan is likely to offer more cabin space than the existing model.
A few changes will be made inside the cabin as well. The new Verna will have ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite that includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, lane follow assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, blind spot view monitor and forward collision assist. It will also get a fully digital instrument console, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, an electric sunroof, BlueLink connectivity and more. For power, the new 2023 Hyundai Verna will use the same 1.5L petrol, 1.4L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. The sedan’s new model lineup can be had with both manual and automatic gearbox. Rumour has it that the new Verna could be offered with the mild hybrid tech.
The next-generation Hyundai Verna is likely to make debut at the Delhi Auto Expo that’s scheduled for January 2023. Its market launch is likely to happen in mid 2023.
