Finally, there’s good news for all enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the all-new Hero Karizma sports bike. The indigenous two-wheeler manufacturer has confirmed that the bike will go on sale on 29th August 2023. The official teaser states, “witness the return of the legend,” and reveals that the launch event will take place in Gurugram. Official specifications and features of the 2023 Hero Karizma are yet to be disclosed, but here we bring you all the key details that we know so far.
The 2023 Hero Karizma is likely to come with a new 210cc engine, expected to be powerful and refined. The motor will produce a maximum power of 25bhp and 30Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension setup might include conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. Dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) could be offered as standard fitment.
Recently, a design patent of the new Karizma surfaced on the web, giving us the first glimpse of its final avatar. The front aggressive fairing extends towards the headlamp, while design elements such as a sculpted fuel tank, chiselled panels, blacked-out alloy wheels, raised handlebars, LED headlamp and taillamp, a split seat, sleek rear section, and upswept exhaust add to its new sporty avatar. The new 2023 Hero Karizma could get a fully digital instrument cluster along with turn-by-turn navigation and a real-time fuel efficiency indicator.
As far as pricing is concerned, the all-new Karizma is estimated to cost between Rs 1.50 lakh – Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Here, it will go up against the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and Yamaha YZF-R15.
In other fresh news, Hero MotoCorp is working on a 400cc bike that will share its platform, components, and engine with the new Harley-Davidson X440. However, it will carry a different design language. The new Hero 400cc motorcycle is reported to arrive by March 2024.
