New 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Launch In July – New Engine, Better Design

We have reported earlier that Bajaj Auto is working on the new-generation Pulsar range that will arrive by the end of this year. The lineup will include the new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 and both models caught testing multiple times. While there is no word from Bajaj about their launch timeline, the new 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is reported to hit roads in coming July. In fact, a latest digital rendering shows what the final model could look like. One must note that the rendering is based on the spy images.

The rendered model has a bikini fairing featuring a new projector headlamp with ‘Wolf-eyed’ LED DRLs. Its engine cowl and the tank extensions which seem to be inspired from the Pulsar LS135 give it a sporty appeal. The bike has a single piece seat. At the tail section, the new 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 carries a license plate holder and an integrated fender. You can also notice the chain cover.

Similar to the test mule, the final production model might have newly-designed alloy wheels with skinnier tyres. The bike’s new model will be designed on the new chassis that underpins the Pulsar 250s. If reports are to be believed, the new Pulsar 150 could be offered with a new 150cc or a 180cc air-cooled engine. The new motor is expected to be slightly more powerful and refined than the existing unit. The latter delivers a peak power of 14PS and 13.25Nm of torque.

For performing braking duties, the bike will have disc upfront and disc/drum brake at the rear. There will also be the single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The bike will be equipped with a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock suspension unit at the rear.

Prices of the new 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 are expected to start from Rs 1.1 lakh (ex-showroom). At present, the bike is available at a starting price of Rs 1,03,731. It takes on the Honda Unicorn, Yamaha FZ Fi V3 and TVS Apache RTR 160.
