More Than One Bajaj-Triumph Motorcycle Coming In June

It is no secret that Bajaj-Triumph JV is preparing a new range of motorcycles for the Indian as well as global markets. Speaking to CNBC TV18, Rajiv Bajaj, CEO of Bajaj Auto has confirmed that the first motorcycle under the strategic partnership will make its global debut in London by Triumph “by the end of June, perhaps on June 27.”

He further said that the first Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle will be launched in the second quarter of financial year 2023 that’s July-September. What’s interesting is that Rajiv Bajaj said that “more than one” motorcycle will be introduced in the second quarter of this financial year.

The first Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle will be a new Scrambler that has been spotted testing in India multiple times. The new Scrambler will share the styling cues from the existing Triumph Bonneville family of motorcycles. It will come with a neo-retro design language with a simplistic design with modern elements.

The motorcycle will have a relaxed riding position, a single exhaust exit, a rear grab handle for the pillion, a single-piece seat and bar-end mirrors. The new motorcycle will have a retro-styled headlights, a simplistic fuel tank and exposed frame. The second motorcycle is likely to be neo-retro street bike, which is likely to be inspired from Triumph’s street lineup. The motorcycles will have USD front forks, rear mono shock, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS, alloy wheels, round headlamps and others.

The new motorcycles are likely to be powered by a 300-400cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with power close to 35-40bhp and over 40Nm of torque. The performance figures for the motorcycle is likely to be similar to the KTM 390 Adventure. The Scrambler will ride on 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel.
