MG Motor India has retailed 4528 units in February 2022, resulting into a growth of 5 percent over the corresponding month last year. MG claims that the demand remains robust and it has received a healthy booking space. The company is experiencing a promising growth momentum, while working its way through the supply chain constraints.
The company’s latest SUV, the MG Astor has received strong response from buyers. The SUV commands a huge waiting period. MG Motor India said that it is continuously working to increase the supply of Astor to meet the rising demand. The company further claims that the Hector and Gloster continue to exhibit good sales trends in their respective segments.
MG Motor is all set to launch the new ZS EV in the country. The company has already released the exterior and interior images of the electric SUV. The new model comes with all-new interior, which is shared with the Astor mid-sized SUV. It comes with a new 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
Other features include new Astor-like red-stitching on the seats, new steering wheel, a 7-inch digital instrument console, a panoramic sunroof, rain sensing wipers, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a PM 2.5 filter, automatic AC & multiple USB charging ports. The SUV will also come with rear air-conditioning, which was earlier not offered in the previous model.
In terms of styling, the new ZS EV will come with an updated front fascia, LED headlamps, DRLs, a new 17-inch alloy wheels, a new bumper and new tail-light design. The electric SUV is expected to get a larger 51kWh battery pack instead of the 44.5kWh unit in the outgoing model. The new battery pack is expected to offer a range of around 480km. The outgoing model is claimed to deliver a range of 419km.
