MG Cyberster Electric Sportscar Debuts In India

MG Motor India has officially revealed the Cyberster electric sportscar at an event in Mumbai. The company is also looking at launching this electric sportscar in India; however, it is most likely to be sold under a new flagship brand or a more premium retail dealer network. A new flagship brand could be the result of a recent joint venture between MG and JSW Group.

Under the partnership, MG Motor India will have a wide range of electric vehicle portfolio ranging from Comet priced under 10 lakh to luxury cars with price point over 50-60 lakh. The new MG JSW alliance could also take advantage of Government of India’s new EV policy that allows new investors in the EV space to import a limited amount of cars at a reduced custom duty rate.
