The Maruti Suzuki Fronx compact crossover, which hit the market in April last year, is ready to complete its first successful year in the country. Surpassing the company’s initial expectations, this model has consistently showed strong performance since its debut. In a remarkable achievement, the Fronx has reached the milestone of 1 lakh sales within just 10 months, establishing itself as the fastest-selling car in the brand’s history. Notably, its automatic variants, in high demand, contribute to 24 percent of the total sales. The company has exported over 9,000 units of the Fronx to markets such as the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.
Currently, the Maruti Fronx is offered in five trims – Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha – with prices ranging from Rs 7.46 lakh to Rs 13.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The model lineup includes five automatic variants – Delta AMT, Delta+ AMT, Zeta Turbo AT, Alpha Turbo AT, and Alpha Turbo dual-tone AT – priced at Rs 8.87 lakh, Rs 9.27 lakh, Rs 12.05 lakh, Rs 12.97 lakh, and Rs 13.13 lakh, respectively.
The micro SUV is available in seven color options: Arctic White, Opulent Red, Earthen Brown, Bluish Black, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, and Celestial Blue. Engine setup of the Maruti Fronx features includes two engines – the 1.0L Boosterjet turbo-petrol and the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol. The turbo unit delivers power worth 100bhp and 147Nm of torque, while the latter produces 90bhp. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic (exclusive to turbo-petrol), and a 5-speed AMT (available for NA petrol only).
