Mahindra & Mahindra announced prices of the XUV700 5-seater SUV, while its bookings and deliveries are yet to be commenced. It comes in four variants – MX petrol, MX diesel, AX petrol and AX5 petrol – priced at Rs 11.99 lakh, RRs 12.49 lakh, Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 14.99 lakh respectively (all, ex-showroom). At such an attractive price point, the Mahindra XUV700 will target multiple cars right from Hyundai Creta (Rs 10.16 lakh – Rs 17.87 lakh), Kia Seltos (Rs 9.95 lakh – Rs 18.10 lakh) to Tata Harrier (Rs 14.39 lakh – Rs 21.09 lakh).
One must note that its 7-seater version will arrive in the month of October that will be positioned against the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari. According to a latest media report, the range-topping AX 5 (O) variant is expected to be high in demand and buyers are likely to prefer Blue and Silver exterior paint schemes over other shades. The SUV model lineup will also include AX7 variant that will be made available with automatic gearbox option. It’s also expected to be a hot choice among buyers.
Engine setup of the new Mahindra XUV700 includes a 2.0L mStallion petrol and a 2.2L mHawk diesel unit. The gasoline unit delivers power worth 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. It’s the most powerful engine in its segment. The diesel motor offers two different outputs – 155bhp with 360Nm and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450Nm (AT). Mahindra’s latest three-row SUV is one of the most feature packed vehicles in its category.
