Mahindra XUV700 Black Edition Looks Sporty – Rendered

The newly-launched XUV700 premium 5/7-seater SUV is Mahindra’s answer to Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari. The SUV has been priced quite aggressively at Rs 11.99 lakh for the entry-level MX petrol manual 5-seater variant. The model lineup includes three more variants – MX diesel MT 5-seater, Adreno AX3 petrol MT 5-seater and AdrenoX AX5 petrol MT 5-seater – cost Rs 12.49 lakh, Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 14.99 lakh respectively. Prices of the 7-seater Mahindra XUV700 will be announced in October 2021.

Here’s a digital rendering shows how the Mahindra XUV700 will look like if the automaker would launch its Black Edition in the market. The rendered Mahindra XUV700 Black Edition looks sportier with all blacked-out front grille instead of the outwardly bent vertical chromed bars. Design elements such as new, sharply designed headlamps with large C-shaped DRLs and large angular taillamps have been retained. The black front bumper, all-black alloy wheels and black flush type door handles enhance its sporty appeal.

As of now, the carmaker has no intentions to bring in the Mahindra XUV700 Black Edition. Even if it arrives, the model will carry all design elements and features offered on the standard version. The Mahindra XUV700 has been made available with turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version uses a 2.0L, 4-cylinder motor delivering power worth 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The diesel model comes with a 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk unit that’s tuned for generating two different power outputs – 155bhp with 360Nm (for the lower trims) and 185bhp with 420Nm (for the higher trims only).

Mahindra XUV700 Black Colour

The diesel automatic makes 450Nm with the automatic gearbox. The new Mahindra XUV700 diesel offers four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom. Both petrol and diesel engines are available ith 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. One must the lower trims are offered with manual gearbox only.
