Mahindra XUV e8 Electric SUV New Details Revealed – Spied

We reported earlier that Mahindra will launch its first born-electric SUV will be launched by December 2024. The new electric SUV will be designed and developed on Mahindra’s new Skateboard platform, called INGLO, which will also underpin 4 more electric SUVs under the XUV.e and BE nameplates. In fact, Mahindra had showcased 5 electric SUVs – XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE05, BE07 and BE09 in 2022. The first model to be launched will be based on the Mahindra XUV e8 electric SUV concept.

A prototype of the Mahindra XUV e8 electric SUV has recently been caught testing on the Chennai-Bangalore highway. The latest spy images reveal some interestig details about the styling and interior of the upcoming electric SUV. The overall shape of the Mahindra XUV e8 looks largely identical to the XUV700 3-row SUV.

The Mahindra XUV e8 electric SUV receive some design changes to keep things fresh in the market. It comes with an all-new front fascia, featuring a continuous LED light bar and vertically stacked headlamp unit. The SUV comes with a closed-off front grille, angular stances and a sharply designed bonnet. The rear end looks identical to the ICE version.

The Mahindra XUV.e8 electric SUV measures 4740mm in length, 1900mm in width and 1760mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2762mm. Compared to the XUV700, the electric SUV is 45mm longer, 10mm wider and 5mm taller, and it has a 7mm longer wheelbase.

The cabin spy images reveal that the XUV.e8 electric SUV comes with three large screens incorporated in a single panel. It features a two-spoke steering wheel, which appeals similar to the new Tata Safari. The centre console looks similar to the concept; however, it features a conventional automatic gear selector and a circular dial for the drive modes.

Mahindra has confirmed that the production-ready XUV.e8 electric SUV will have a large battery pack of around 80kWh, which is expected to offer a range of over 500km on a single charge. The SUV will have AWD system as standard. Its power output will be between 230bhp and 350bhp.
