Four-wheel-drive system with manual shift transfer case is offered as standard.

5-Door Mahindra Thar

Mahindra is developing a 5-door Thar SUV, which has recently received official approval. The company will soon start testing the SUV with Bolero’s body. It is likely to be based on longer wheelbase and offer more cabin space. The SUV could also get a new 180 mStallion Pro turbo petrol engine that will be more powerful than the existing petrol unit.  The SUV could also get a more powerful version of the existing 2.2L turbocharged diesel engine.
