Lotus Eletre Electric SUV Comes To India – All Key Details

Lotus, the esteemed British sportscar manufacturer, has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its Eletre pure electric SUV, priced at a premium Rs 2.55 crore. Noteworthy is the exclusive retail partnership with Exclusive Motors of New Delhi, renowned for its association with Bentley sales in India. The inaugural showroom is slated to open its doors in Delhi in early 2024, followed by a strategic expansion with additional showrooms nationwide in the years to come. The Lotus Eletre lineup comprises three variants – Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R – priced at Rs 2.55 crore, Rs 2.75 crore, and Rs 2.99 crore, respectively, all reflecting ex-showroom prices in India.

Drawing inspiration from the Lotus Evija hypercar, the Eletre stands as the most opulent and potent electric SUV in the Indian market. This groundbreaking foray into the electric vehicle (EV) segment commenced with the global debut of the Lotus Eletre in early 2022. Designed on Lotus’ Electric Premium architecture, the Eletra boasts compatibility with various battery sizes, motors, and cutting-edge smart driving technologies.

Impressively, the battery pack achieves a rapid charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes via a fast charger, with a standard 22kWh AC charger included.

Setting a new benchmark, the Lotus Eletre R claims the title of the world’s fastest production electric SUV, achieving a 0 to 100kmph sprint in a mere 2.95 seconds and a top speed of 258kmph. Exclusive features of the top-tier R variant include a carbon fibre pack, a handling pack, high-performance tires, and gloss black wheels.
