After a gap of three years, the Indian Auto Expo is all set to return in the second week of January that’s from January 13-18, 2023. This year’s auto event is mostly about electric vehicles and future EV concepts, as close to 30 EV-only brands are participating in the event. Moreover, multiple mainstream auto brands including Mahindra, Honda, Isuzu, Skoda, Citroen & Renault-Nissan Alliance have opted out of this event.
Experts believe that the high cost of participation and lack of new products for unveil are the two major reasons behind many players opting out of the event. However, India’s leading automakers – MSIL, Hyundai, Tata, Kia and Toyota will showcase their future products and concepts to the public at the 16th edition of Indian Auto Expo.

Maruti Suzuki will also unveil an all-new electric SUV concept, codenamed YYB, which will preview the brand’s future electric vehicle set to be launched in 2024-25. Hyundai will announce the prices of the Ioniq 5 electric crossover at the auto event. Moreover, the company will showcase the Ioniq 6 electric sedan and the Nexo Fuel-Cell Electric Vehicle at the biennial event. It is reported that the Korean automaker could introduce the next-gen Verna sedan, Creta facelift with ADAS tech at the auto show.
