Kinetic Energy has started accepting pre-bookings for the much-awaited E-Luna at a token amount of Rs 500. Interested buyers can book the new Kinetic E-Luna online at the brand’s official website. Ahead of the official launch, the new electric Luna has now been listed on a few e-commerce portals. While the prices are yet to be revealed, the e-commerce websites reveals that the new E-Luna is priced in the range of Rs 71,990 – 74,990 (ex-showroom).
The Kinetic E-Luna retains the simple and usable design of the previous model; however, it misses out on the signature pedals. The new electric Luna weighs just 96kg. Customer can remove the rear seat to create additional storage space. It has a seat height of just 760mm, which makes it accessible to most of the Indians.
The Kinetic E-Luna comes with a simple digital dash that shows all the important information. It is equipped with a USB charging port and a side stand cut-off feature. The E-Luna is claimed to be offered in two colours – Mulberry Red and Ocean Blue.
The electric Luna is based on the tubular frame, which is suspended by a telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking duties, the Luna gets drum brakes at both ends. It rides on spoked 16-inch wheels wrapped with slim tyres, which is sourced from TVS Eurogrip.
This Kinetic Luna electric vehicle is claimed to offer a top speed of around 50-52kmph. It features a hub-mounted electric motor that draws power from the 2kWh battery pack. The electric motor offers 22Nm of torque. The battery can be fully charged in 4 hours. It is claimed to offer a range of 110km on a single charge.
