Kia, Toyota – First Car Launch In 2024

In the automotive realm, the impending year of 2024 promises an exhilarating array of new launches that will captivate the hearts of auto enthusiasts across various segments and price ranges. Among the frontrunners in this automotive extravaganza is Kia Motors, set to unveil three significant additions to their lineup: the revamped Sonet subcompact SUV, the all-new Carnival MPV, and the EV9 electric SUV.

Leading the charge is the 2024 Kia Sonet, scheduled to make its debut in January, marking the first product launch of the year for Kia. With nationwide bookings already underway, the updated Sonet lineup boasts seven variants categorized into three trims – HT Line, GT Line, and X Line. Elevating the driving experience, the Sonet introduces Level 1 ADAS, featuring 10 autonomous functions such as front collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, lane following assist, front collision avoidance assist, leading vehicle departure alert, high beam assist and driver attention warning.

Notable enhancements include a blind-view monitor integrated into the cluster, offering crucial information, and a 360-degree camera for enhanced safety. The exterior receives a fresh perspective with a new Pewter Olive color scheme alongside seven monotone shades, while the engine setup remains unaltered.

Turning our attention to Toyota, the official launch date for the Taisor compact SUV remains undisclosed, yet its arrival is anticipated in the early months of 2024. Positioned as Toyota’s rendition of the re-badged Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Taisor distinguishes itself with a uniquely designed grille, tweaked bumpers, and new wheels.

Despite these exterior differentiators, the interior maintains parity with the Fronx, featuring a revised dashboard with new inserts and upholstery. Under the hood, the Toyota Taisor shares a kinship with the Fronx, housing the same 1.2L naturally aspirated and 1.0L Boosterjet petrol engines, delivering 90bhp with 113Nm and 100bhp with 147Nm, respectively. Similar to the Fronx, the Taisor is likely to offer fuel efficiency of 21.79kmpl with 1.2L petrol MT, 21.5kmpl with 1.0L turbo petrol MT and 20.1kmpl with 1.0L turbo petrol AT combos.
