Kia India has officially launched a limited run Sonet Anniversary Edition in the country. Priced at Rs 10.79 lakh, the new Anniversary Edition marks the successful completion of Sonet’s first year in the Indian market. The Kia Sonet has also recorded a phenomenal 1 lakh sales volume in the country.

The new Kia Sonet AE is offered in 4 variants – Turbo iMT, Turbo DCT, Diesel MT and Diesel AT – priced between Rs 10.79 lakh and Rs 11.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Sonet Anniversary Edition is based on the mid-level HTX trim. The new trim will be on sale for a limited period till March 2022. It will be offered in 4 colour options – Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Silver Steel and Glacier White Pearl. The SUV has received cosmetic enhancements on the exterior. It gets aurochs front and rear skid plates with Trangerine accents, Aurochs side skid plates, Kia signature Tiger nose grille with hot stamped Tangerine accents, heartbeat LED tail-lamps, crown jewel LED headlamps with LED DRL and semi leatherette seats with silver stiching – beige & black.
The Anniversary Edition has all the features that are accessible in the HTX variants. The SUV gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic AC, digital instrument console, keyless entry, powered ORVMs, cruise control, engine start/stop system and others. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), automatic headlamps and brake assist comes as safety features.
The new Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition is offered with two engine options – a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel and a 1.0-litre GDi turbo petrol. The diesel engine offers two states of tunes – 99bhp/220Nm with manual and 113bhp/250Nm with 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed clutch-less iMT and a 7-speed DCT automatic.
