Kia Plans To Launch Sonet X-Line Variant – More Details

Kia had launched the Seltos SUV in August 2019. The SUV has been an instant hit and is one of the highest selling models in its category. The company had launched the special edition Seltos X-Line to further increase its sales.

A new media report claims that Kia is planning to launch the X-Line variant of the Sonet in the country. It will be a more rugged version of the Sonet and will come with cosmetic design changes.

The new Kia Sonet X-Line variant is likely to come with dark exterior theme with an exclusive Graphite Black colour paint with matte finish. The exterior is likely to have a blacked-out treatment with chrome applique alongside the sideboards. The SUV is likely to come with a revised front grille with matte finish.

The grille outline and fog lamp housings are likely to come with piano black finish. Similar to the Seltos X-Line, the upcoming Kia Sonet X-Line could get orange inserts to fog lamp housings, skid plates, side body claddings and alloy wheels. It could get a bigger alloy wheel with matte Graphite finish.

The tailgate is expected to feature a dark chrome bar that connects the tail-lights, and an X-Line badge. Piano black treatment will be offered on tailgate garnish, rear skid plate, dual exhaust tail-light and shark fin antenna.

The cabin of the Kia Sonet X-Line is likely to come with dark theme. It is likely to get dark leatherette upholstery with honeycomb pattern and contrasting Grey stitching. In terms of features, the SUV will get the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, connected car tech, wireless charging, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, air purifier and others.

The Sonet X-Line is likely to be offered with two engine options – a 1.5L turbo diesel with 6-speed automatic and a 1.0L turbo petrol with 7-speed DCT. While the former is good for 113bhp and 250Nm, the turbo petrol will produce 118bhp and 172Nm of torque.
