Kia India has increased the prices of select models including the Seltos, Sonet, Carens & EV6 by up to Rs 1 lakh. The company said that the price hike is being introduced to offset rising commodity and transportation costs. Kia has been witnessing massive success in our market since its introduction in 2019. It has reported a 40.19% increase in sales in CY2022 to 2,54,556 units from 1,81,583 units sold in CY2021.
Kia Sonet Price Hike
Kia has increased the prices of the Sonet compact SUV by Rs 20,000 – 40,000 depending on variant. The Sonet 1.2L petrol manual version is now expensive by Rs 20,000, while the Sonet 1.0L petrol with IMT & DCT is now costlier by Rs 25,000. The Sonet petrol range now starts at Rs 7.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.39 lakh.
The Kia Sonet diesel variants have received a price hike of Rs 40,000. It is now available at a starting price of Rs 9.45 lakh for base HTE 1.5, which goes up to Rs 14.39 lakh for the X-Line automatic variant.
Kia Seltos Price Hike
KIa has increased the prices of the Seltos SUV by Rs 20,000-50,000 depending on the variants. The Seltos 1.5L NA petrol version is now expensive by Rs 20,000, and the range is now available in the price bracket of Rs 10.69 lakh to Rs 15.65 lakh. On the other hand, the Seltos with 1.4L turbo petrol engine is now pricier by Rs 40,000. It is priced between Rs 16.45 lakh and Rs 18.69 lakh.
The diesel version is now expensive by Rs 50,000. The Seltos diesel base variant now costs Rs 11.89 lakh, while the top-spec model is now priced at Rs 19.15 lakh.
Kia Carens Price Hike
The Carens 3-row MPV has received a price hike of Rs 20,000 for the base Premium & Prestige 1.5L petrol variants, which now costs Rs 10.20 lakh and Rs 11.40 lakh respectively. Rest of the Kia Carens receive a uniform price hike of Rs 25,000. The Carens petrol range now available in the price bracket of Rs 10.19 lakh to Rs 17.70 lakh.
The diesel version receive a uniform price hike of Rs 45,000. The Kia Carens with 1.5L diesel engine is now priced in the range of Rs 12.15 lakh to Rs 18.45 lakh.
Kia EV6 Price Hike
The EV6 electric SUV is available in two variants – GT RWD and GT AWD. The company has increased the prices of the EV6 by Rs 1 lakh. While the GT RWD variant is now priced at Rs 60.95 lakh, the GT AWD variant now costs Rs 65.95 lakh.
