Jeep Compass Facelift Appears Again Showing 7-Slat Grille

It is no secret that Jeep is readying the facelift version of the popular Compass SUV. In fact, the SUV has been caught testing in India as well as on foreign soil. This time, the Jeep Compass facelift has been spotted with less camouflage.

The new spy images fully revealed the front fascia of the Jeep Compass facelift, which is scheduled to be launched in our market in early next year. It is confirmed that the SUV features an all-new seven-slat top grille. Adding to it, the engineers have also updated the headlamp unit. The updated model features a slightly narrower headlamp unit.

Interestingly, the prototype’s rear has less camouflage and suggests that the new model won’t receive any major changes there. The SUV is expected to receive revised bumper with slightly altered bumper diffuser and the taillights. It will ride on newly styled alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the Jeep Compass facelift will have a new tablet-style screen for the infotainment system. The SUV features an all-new dashboard and the new table-styled 10-inch vertically-stacked infotainment unit sits on the top of the centre console. Previous reports suggest that the updated model could receive an all-new digital instrument console and 360 degree camera.

The updated model will also receive the plug-in hybrid variant 4xe, which is powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with electric motor. It is capable of producing up to 240bhp and offers efficiency up to 47.6kmpl. The SUV can run up to 50km on electric mode. The India-spec model is likely to receive the new 1.3L direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine with engine start-stop system. This engine produces 180bhp and 285Nm of torque. The diesel version will continue to offer the 2.0L turbocharged engine producing 170bhp and 350Nm.
