Jaguar is all set to introduce its first all-electric performance SUV in the Indian market this year. Ahead of its official price announcement, the model has arrived at JNPT near Mumbai, for testing and validation across the country. It’s the fully-loaded HSE variant painted the ’Firenze Red’ colour scheme. The company believes that the Jaguar I-Pace “marks a significant milestone in Jaguar Land Rover’s journey in India, as we gear up for an electrified future.”
– In India, the new Jaguar electric SUV will be made available in three trim levels – S, SE and HSE.
– All variants will come with two synchronous permanent magnet electric motors fitted at front and rear axle. Its combined power and torque outputs stand at 394bhp and 696Nm respectively. The SUV is capable to do 0 to 100kmph in just 4.8 seconds and attain a top speed of 200kmph. It offers an electric range of over 480km. The new Jaguar I Pace comes with AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.
– The SUV’s 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack can be charged up to 80 percent in 45 minutes via a 100kW fast charger and 10 hours via a 7kW AC wall box. In order to provide home and office charging solutions, Jaguar has partnered with Tata Power in India. Tata Power will be responsible for setting up an EV charging network with over 200 charging stations – ‘EZ-Charge’. These charging points are currently available across over 23 cities.
– The list of standard features includes auto wipers, a powered tailgate, a full-length fixed glass roof, 8-way, semi-powered front seats, screen-based dials,dual-zone climate control, a tyre-pressure monitor, InControl connected car technology and standard driver assistance technology. It also gets Pivi Pro infotainment system that includes a 12-speaker, 380W Meridian sound system and a dual touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
– The Jaguar I-Pace SE variant comes packed with advanced projector LED headlamps with DRLs, heated, power-folding auto mirrors with memory and 12-way power adjustable leather sport seats with memory.
– Features such as adaptive ‘Matrix’ LED headlights with animated directional indicators, hands-free boot release, a 16-speaker, 825W Meridian 3D surround sound system, high-quality ‘Windsor’ leather sport seats with memory, 16-way power adjustable, a heads-up display and adaptive cruise control are reserved for the HSE trim.
– The overall length, width and height of the Jaguar I Pace stand at 4682mm, 2011mm and 1566mm respectively. It sits on 2990mm long wheelbase and has a ground clearance of 174mm.
– The performance electric SUV can be had in 12 colour schemes, namely,Fuji White, Santorini Black, Caldera Red, Yulong White, Aruba, Indus Silver, Farallon Pearl Black, Caesium Blue, Eiger Grey, Portofino Blue, Borasco Grey and Firenze Red.
– The company is offering a complimentary 5-year service package and 5 years of roadside assistance along with the standard 8-year or 1,60,000km battery warranty.
