Hyundai is ready to unveil its all-new Stargazer MPV at this year’s GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show). The auto show will begin on 11th August, 2022 in Jakarta. Ahead of its official debut, a leaked video reveals its exterior and interior details. The new Hyundai Stargazer MPV will measure around 4.5 meters in length and carry a tear-drop profile with rising window line and a curved roof.
Upfront, it will feature Hyundai’s new parametric jewel grille, a thin LED strip running above the grille, split headlamp setup and light clusters positioned on the lower section of the front bumper. The large, curvy windshield and compact yet pronounced bonnet add more to its angular styling.
It will have bold shoulder line and squared out wheel arches. The rear profile will be adorned by vertically positioned, triangular taillamps, tailgate with a large hexagonal windshield and boot lid with T-shaped LED elements.
Inside, you can see a free floating touchscreen infotainment system and AC vents placed below it. The info unit is likely to support both Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The higher trims of the MPV are likely to get leather seats. If reports are to be believed, the new Hyundai MPV might get ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite. The Hyundai Stargazer will come with 6 and 7-seats configurations. There will be captain seats for the middle row passengers and a bench-type seats for the third row occupants.
It would be quite early to comment on its powertrains. The Hyundai Stargazer MPV could be offered with a 1.5L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine sourced from the Creta. The motor is good for 113.4bhp and 143.8Nm. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.
As far as its India launch is concerned, the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed anything on it. Even if India is on its launch radar, the Hyundai Stargazer will be placed against the Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki XL6.
