Hyundai Creta Waiting Period Ahead of New Model Launch

Hyundai Creta mid-size SUV has been generating volume for the South Korean automaker since its launch in 2015. The model received its second-generation update in 2019, followed by a mid-life update in 2020. Now, it’s ready to enter into its third-generation in early 2023. The current-generation Creta commands a waiting period of around 8- 10 months, depending on the variant. It’s among India’s top 10 SUVs with highest waiting period in November 2022.

Talking about the 2023 Hyundai Creta, the SUV will witness major feature upgrade in the form ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The suite will include safety features such as autonomous emergency braking with forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist and blind spot monitor. Though, it could be reserved for the top-end trim.

The SUV’s new-generation model will also come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as we have seen in the Alcazar three-row SUV. Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car tech will be updated. It will offer some new features including stolen vehicle immobilization, stolen vehicle tracking and a valet parking mode. All aforementioned functions will be accessible via user’s smartphone. The new 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift will continue to offer a touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, an air purifier, ambient lighting, cooled front seats and a panoramic sunroof.

The front fascia of the new Creta will be heavily updated, inspired by the new Tucson. The SUV will feature the brand’s new parametric grille stretching across the entire width of the SUV and slightly repositioned and more rectangular headlamps. Other design highlights will include redesigned boot lid, sharper taillamps connected via a plastic panel and tweaked rear bumper.

For power, the new 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift will use the same 1.5L petrol (115bhp/144Nm), 1.5L diesel (115bhp) and 1.4L turbo petrol (140bhp) engines. Transmission options will also remain unchanged.
