Mumbai-based EV startup PMV Electric has launched its first electric car, the Eas-E in the Indian market. The nano-sized PMV Eas-E EV is the country’s most affordable electric vehicle that’s priced at Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This is an introductory price which is applicable for the first 100 customers.
PMV Electric has already received around 6,000 pre-orders for the PMV EaS-E electric vehicle. Interested customers can book the small electric vehicle online at a token amount of Rs 2,000. The smallest EV of India can accommodate two adults and a child. Targeting urban audience, the PMV EaS-E measures 2,915mm in length, 1,157mm in width and 1,600mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,087mm. The small EV has a ground clearance of 170mm and the kerb weight stands at 550kgs.
The PMV EaS-E electric vehicle comes with funky styling, featuring round headlamps, a LED light bar that runs across the width and slim LED lamps. There is a light bar that placed horizontally right above the tail-lights. The new model comes equipped with several high-end features such as a digital infotainment system, air conditioning, remote keyless entry & remote park assist, cruise controls, airbags, etc. The small EV comes with remote control AC, lights, windows nd horn. The small car supports regenerative braking and Over-the-Air updates. It offers different driving modes, feet-free driving, Bluetooth connectivity, onboard navigation, acess to music control & telephony control to the connected smartphone.
The PMV EaS-E comes with a 48B battery and offers 3 range options – 120km, 160km and 200km. It can attain a maximum speed of 70kmph. The EV can recharge fully in less than 4 hours. It can be charged from any 15A outlet, while customers can also attain a 3kW AC charger with the new EV. The EV offers 13bhp of maximum power and 50Nm of torque, and is claimed to achieve 0 to 40kmph in under 5 seconds.
PMV Electric is planning to set up its production facility in Pune. The company aims to start deliveries of the small EV by the mid-2023.
