Hyundai Casper Mini SUV Real-World Images & Details

Korean automaker, Hyundai has recently revealed the new Casper micro SUV for the home market. The Hyundai Casper will also make its way to our market in the first half of 2022. In India, it will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Ignis and the Tata Punch. The model will first go on sale in Korea in the coming weeks.

Real-world images of the new Hyundai Casper mini SUV have now hit the web world. The new images reveal two different versions of the Casper, including a turbo variant and the regular variant. The micro SUV has unique styling, featuring interesting design elements and very compact body. Set to be the smallest Hyundai ever made, the new Casper will be positioned below the Venue in the company’s line-up.

The front fascia features a different look. It gets a thick gloss black strip that runs across the width. The turn indicators are placed on the either sides of the strip. Hyundai logo is placed in the centre of the strip. It gets a big front bumper finished in dual-tone. It gets a big bumper that has round-shaped headlamps with LED rings, and faux skid plate. The lower bumper has smaller air-intake.

Both variants feature projector type headlamps with LED DRLs. One of the variants get a pair of additional circular units on the front grille. The other variant has grille with triangular pattern and is placed between the headlamps.

The studio shots reveal that the side profile of the Hyundai Casper is inspired by the Venue compact SUV. It gets blacked-out A-pillar, and body-coloured B-and C-pillars. Design highlights include dual-tone roof rails, ORVMs with integrated blinkers, squarish wheel arches, black plastic cladding, rear door handles integrated in the C-pillar, and multi-spoke alloys.

At the back, the micro SUV gets split tail-lights. The brake lights are placed on the tailgate and has triangular LED matrix design. The turn indicators nd reverse parking lights are placed lower on the bumper. The bumper also has a faux bash plate. Black plastic cladding can be seen all-around the body. It gets a roof-integrated spoiler with stop lamps, and a shark fin antenna.

The Korean-spec Casper will be offered with two engine options – a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. The naturally aspirated engine will produce around 76bhp of power, and will be paired to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will be the same unit that powers the Grand i10 Nios Turbo and the Aura Turbo. Paired to a 4-speed automatic gearbox, the new turbo unit will produce around 100bhp of power.
