Hyundai will launch the much-awaited Alcazar 7-seater SUV before the end of June 2021. Dealers have unofficially started accepting bookings for the SUV; however, Hyundai is yet to make an official announcement.
Ahead of the launch, variants and colors details of the new Hyundai Alcazar have been leaked on the Internet. The Hyundai Alcazar will be offered in 6 trim levels – Signature, Signature (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum and Platinum (O) – and in total of 17 variants depending on seating options and engine-gearbox combinations.
The base Hyundai Alcazar Signature will come in 6-seater option with manual version only. The Signature (O) will come with diesel AT and petrol AT. It will also come in 6-seater version and in automatic version only. The Prestige trim will be offered with 6-and 7-seat layouts with petrol and diesel options, and in manual avatar only. The Alcazar Prestige (O) will come with automatic gearbox.
The top-spec Alcazar Platinum trim will come with manual gearbox in both petrol and diesel engine option. It will be a 7-seater model. The Platinum (O) will get automatic gearbox only and will come as a 6-seater model.
The report also claims that the Hyundai Alcazar will be offered in 6 exterior colour options – Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Starry Night, Polar White and Phantom Black. The SUV will come with Cognac Brown finished interior.
The Hyundai Alcazar will be offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine produces 159PS of power and 192Nm of torque. It offers around 7PS more power than the Elantra & Tucson’s engine. The diesel engine is tuned differently to offer better power delivery. It offers 115PS of maximum power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
