Honda Highness Cruiser Motorcycle Debut On September 30, 2020

Japanese two-wheeler maker, Honda is all set to launch an all-new motorcycle in the Indian market on September 30, 2020. It is confirmed that the new bike could be called the Honda Highness or H’NESS as both the names are trademarked by Honda 2 Wheelers in India.

The company has also revealed a teaser, which reveals that the upcoming retro motorcycle will be a cruiser motorcycle. The teaser shows the upcoming motorcycle’s exhaust note that is similar to a cruiser bike like the Royal Enfield Classic 350. In fact, the teaser image also mentions the name Highness.

Honda Rebel 500 Price In India

Honda has also trademarked the Rebel name, which suggests that the bigger capacity 500cc cruiser could be called the Honda Rebel in India. It is expected that the new Honda cruiser bike could be based on the Rebel 300. This is the same strategy Honda adopted with its newly launched Hornet 2.0, which is based on the Honda CBF190R.

The new Honda Highness is likely to be based on a new trellis frame. The motorcycle gets the Rebel’s minimalist, bare-bones styling. The bike is likely to feature classic single round LED headlights, angled slim tank, low seat, etc. For suspension duties, the bike could receive telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. The motorcycle is also expected to receive dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The new Honda Cruiser is likely to be priced around Rs 2 lakh, which will make it a direct rival to retro motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa Classic and the Benellis Imperiale 400.
